Going Down the Drain: A Sudden Twist

Ladybower Reservoir features two 24-meter diameter stone spillways to prevent water overtopping during heavy rains. Usually dry above the waterline, they're exposed during droughts. The reservoir is also home to hidden ruins of Derwent village, flooded in the 1940s.
