A Majestic Fortress Rising Above the Forests
Perched high above the forests, Sigiriya, also known as Lion Rock, was the stronghold of King Kashyapa I in the 5th century. This imposing fortress, with its 400-foot-high, 100-foot-wide western face, was once adorned with vibrant frescoes.
