Understanding the Difference: Kcals vs. Calories Explained

A screenshot of a MedicineNet article about calories and kcal measurements, showing a person writing in a 'Start Diet' notebook next to a 'HEALTHY' BMI chart and an apple. The article text is overlaid with the phrase 'Since calories are too small a measurement to use when discussing nutrition and exercise, kcal measurements are used instead and the term is interchangeable with calorie IQ', which is a humorous misdirection implying 'IQ' is a unit of measurement, when it's actually an intelligence quotient. The joke relies on the absurdity of treating 'IQ' as a unit like 'kcal'.
