Puss in Boots: A comparison of 2011 vs 2022

The image is a two-panel meme comparing two scenes from the animated movie 'Puss in Boots'. The top panel shows the character Puss in Boots (a brown cat) looking at another cat with a hopeful or romantic expression, labeled '2011 (puss in boots)'. The bottom panel shows the same character, now a grey cat with a white muzzle, looking at the same other cat with a tired, resigned, or melancholic expression, labeled '2022 (puss in boots: the last wish)'.
