We narrowly escaped disaster. Thanks, Edison!

A screenshot of a webpage header asking 'DID BELL REALLY SAY 'AHoy'?' followed by text stating Alexander Graham Bell proposed 'ahoy' as a phone greeting before Thomas Edison popularized 'hello', which stuck. The text 'Thomas Edison' is underlined. The joke is that the claim is historically inaccurate, as Edison didn't popularize 'hello' for the phone.
